Panasonic is sort of a "stealth force" in the tool business. They make some amazing products, but do little or no advertising; and their products have not been widely distributed. I don't know why.
I've been using Panasonic cordless screwdrivers for years. The first few were labeled "Milwaukee" and "AEG" -- major tool makers that preferred to re-sell Panasonic products than to design their own.
More recently, as the Panasonic name started to appear on tools, I bought a few Panasonic-labeled cordless screwdrivers that had better performance or more features than my older ones.
My cordless drivers have a tough life. They get dropped and stepped on and dripped on (and hammered with), but I've never had one fail. I've also been very pleased with my Panasonic cordless power saw, and my Panasonic impact drill/driver.
I almost never use plug-in tools anymore. Panasonic cordless drills come with TWO battery packs, so you can charge one while you use the other. The drivers come with one battery pack. You can buy an extra if you want,
but you probably won't need it.
My Panasonic tools have plenty of power and long battery life; but they are lightweight, well balanced and a pleasure to work with.
I've been using and recommending Panasonic power tools for years, and now I get to sell them. They're perfect for installing a Panasonic phone system -- or even an Allworx or NEC phone system -- or assembling a bookshelf or tinkering with your car.
